Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Weekly Office Update
A message from our music teacher, Mr. Volovets:
Dear St. Wenceslaus families, Thank you all for your continued support, encouragement, and presence at our Spring Concert at St. Wenceslaus. It meant so much to see so many families filling the pews, lifting up the efforts of our students with your smiles, applause, and warm hearts. I am personally proud of each and every one of our young singers. They brought their best selves to the stage, and their voices carried not just melodies, but confidence, joy, and growth—both musical and personal.
Music plays a powerful role in our lives—it nurtures the soul and enriches the mind. It’s not only a means of spiritual reflection, but also a way for children to express emotion, build empathy, and connect with something greater than themselves. What we witnessed was a reminder of how music helps shape who we are. The songs they sang still echo—not only through the walls of our church—but in the hearts of everyone who was there to listen. Thank you for helping make that moment possible. -Mr. Andrey Volovets

Congratulations to all our 2nd graders on receiving their 1st Holy Communion this past weekend. Welcome to the Lord’s table!
Our 8th graders have one of their final events coming up this week- they will be on retreat. Keep them in your prayers, as they spend time together, and with our Lord.
At Saint Wenceslaus, we take great pride in our school community. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure that every child feels supported and successful—not only in academics but also in their spiritual growth, collaboration, social skills, & leadership development.
Registration for 2025-26 is now open! Help us continue our long-standing tradition of educating and nurturing young minds by sharing this opportunity with those you know. Together, we can shape the future, one student at a time! Call our school if you would like more information or a tour. We look forward to partnering with you!
We invite you and your school and/or parish community to join us at the Minnesota State Capitol on Wednesday, May 7, for an Advocacy Day and Rally for Nonpublic School Students. This is an important opportunity to stand together in support of nonpublic school students and to urge lawmakers to preserve critical funding.
As you may know, current proposals would eliminate more than $100 million in nonpublic pupil aid, effective July 1, 2025. These funds provide essential support for transportation, nursing services, counseling, and textbooks. Their loss would have a serious impact on students and families across the state, raising costs by roughly $1,000 per student, per year.
We encourage school leaders, teachers, students, families, and concerned citizens to attend.
Register for the day here and visit our resources page here to access all the material you need for May 7.
