Ash Wednesday kicks off the start of Lent this week. We spend more time during this season in prayer. Other special activities happening to deepen our lenten experience:

• The students will participate in Stations of the Cross.
• 8th graders will present a Living Stations on March 20.
• Our service project is collecting donations for our local food shelf – The Peace Center. Classes will walk their donations over later in lent.
• We will meet in family groups for a cooperative drawing activity.
• A school wide Lenten tree with bible verses will be added to daily from our morning announcements.
• Classes will be giving up/or taking on something during Lent, and our progress will be tracked on a calendar in the hallway near the lunch room.
• Watch for a “Lentopoly” game and Lent Activities Calendar to come home with your students.
