Congratulations to Mrs. Hartman and Ms. Martin for being nominated for the CSCOE December Saintly Service. “Each nominee embodies the charisms of St. Ignatius, whose Ignatian teachings inspire us to lead lives of prayer, reflection, and a commitment to seeing the good in others. We are lucky to have them on our staff.”
January’s Saintly Service Saint is St. Therese of Lisieux.
What does St. Therese teach us?
St. Thérèse of Lisieux, also known as “The Little Flower,” is renowned for her “Little Way” of spiritual simplicity and devotion to doing small, ordinary acts with great love for God. In Catholic schools, her qualities can inspire students, teachers, and staff to approach their daily tasks carefully and intentionally.
How do we connect people to God through small, ordinary acts in our schools? Staff and volunteers may show care and intentionality similar to St. Therese through simplicity, love, and intention, humility, perseverance in small duties, gratitude, and trust in God.
There are so many staff members at St. Wenceslaus who embody St. Therese of Lisieux’ principles. Who will you nominate?
Please submit your nominations by or before Wed., January 15.
