Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Weekly Office Update

Our new principal, Mr. Jon Kuch, spent his spring break @ St. Wenceslaus School this past week! Jon officially starts in mid June, but chose to spend the week with us to meet with staff, spend time in classrooms and on campus! Jon enjoyed the week at our school and feels this is a really great fit for him. We think so too! What a blessing for our school community!

Easter break for St. Wenceslaus students starts Wednesday April 16 through Monday April 21. See you on the 22nd, after we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter.

Clubhouse during Easter Break – Open ONLY on Wednesday the 16th.

Canoe building for our 7th and 8th graders begins this week! Staff from Urban Wilderness (https://www.urbanwildernessprogram.org/) will be heading this up with our students. We are EXCITED!

Fish Fry news: Did you miss the dinner, or are craving more of the amazing fish? We have some leftover – $30.00 for 5 lbs of the delicious fish! Contact our kitchen services director – Pam Glisczinski – pam.glisczinski@swsaints.org – to ‘catch’ this deal!

Ignatius Book Fair – Continues Monday and Wednesday for students.

Our school receives rewards for every book purchased during and after the fair. Continue shopping all year long on the Ignatius Book Fair website to help us earn free books for our school. Each purchase from the Ignatius Book Fair benefits our school, allowing us to enhance our library resources and reading programs.

Nonpublic pupil aid alert! URGENT!

The Governor’s proposed budget eliminates critical nonpublic pupil aid, which provides funding for textbooks, testing, counseling, nursing, and transportation for nonpublic school students. These cuts amount to over $50 million per year—roughly $1,080 per student—placing a greater financial burden on families and potentially putting their school of choice out of reach. Nonpublic pupil aid ensures equal access to essential educational resources and helps families afford the best education for their children. Tell your state legislators to oppose these harmful cuts and protect our students! Visit www.mncatholic.org/action_23393 to send a message today.  Further information here.

Calendar update!

There has been a change to our calendar. The last day for kindergarten-7th grade students will be Thursday, May 22. Last day for 8th graders is Wednesday, May 21. 8th grade graduation will happen in the evening of May 21.

At Saint Wenceslaus, we take great pride in our school community. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure that every child feels supported and successful—not only in academics but also in their spiritual growth, collaboration, social skills, & leadership development.

Registration for 2025-26 is now open! Help us continue our long-standing tradition of educating and nurturing young minds by sharing this opportunity with those you know. Together, we can shape the future, one student at a time! Call our school if you would like more information or a tour. We look forward to partnering with you!

Look for the bucket to donate @ St. Wenceslaus School! The money is used for scholorships and grants that teachers apply for to enhance their classrooms. St. Wenceslaus teachers AND students have benefited from these funds and this partnership.
