Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update
From the Office of Principal:
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;
This week is School Staff Appreciation Week. Our school staff has worked harder than they ever have before since March 2020, when the pandemic first hit our world. I know that our School Parent Association will be providing some treats for the teachers this week. I highly encourage you to individually recognize the staff people who have worked with your family this year – that ranges from not only teachers but also the aides, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, playground supervisors, daycare staff, support staff, pastor, and all who make our school operate.
Our staff is strong, but we could not be strong without your support, help, and prayers! We truly appreciate all of you who have given us the kind word at just the right time, those who send an occasional note of appreciation, those who have been so grateful to us for even the small things, for those who pray for our school, for those who help financially, for those who work at our fundraising events, for those who volunteer, for those who help children with homework, for just being a great parent/grandparent/or special person in the life of our kids, for our parish members who connect with the school, and for so much more. Our staff is so thankful for all of you!
Maybe we should simply call this Appreciation Week and all of us can appreciate each other for the gifts God has blessed us with.

Camp I Can for Girls in grades 1-8
This is a trusted counseling service that works with the Catholic schools of the Archdiocese
Phoenix School Counseling Services is now offering a social-emotional learning (SEL) summer experience for girls grades 1st through 8th through Camp I Can. This camp will be led by our Phoenix School Counselors. Camp I Can offers the opportunity for girls to grow their social skills, practice managing different emotions, strengthen their friendship skills, and learn about self-identity and conflict resolution. With a social-emotional learning platform, Camp I Can will integrate SEL activities and lessons, team-building experiences, fun games, and a place where each student can turn their “cant’s” into “I can’s!” For more information, please visit www.campicanforgirls.com <http://www.campicanforgirls.com/> . This link will provide the different dates for the camp and registration. The camp is held at Holy Spirit Catholic School, located in St. Paul MN. New Shades and Clevertouch Boards are coming
Shades will be installed in May to over 100 school windows. Many of the school shades are 50-60 years old or older. This is a much needed update.
We are so excited to have this new make-over in our school. A very special thanks to all of the people who donated to the Fund-a-Need drive at our Starry Night.
We are also in the process of ordering the Clevertouch boards for the classrooms. They will be arriving this spring with teachers getting trained on using them over the summer. We will be ready to go next fall with our newest technology thanks to the Fund-a-Need donors.
Summer Programs
Club House will be open all summer for kids currently in k-5. See the calendar (sent in previous mail) for summer activities which include pool days, field trips, special speakers, and more.
Preschool Summer program is open to kids who are currently enrolled in our preschool. This program will have water sprinkler days, attend the special speakers with the older kids, and do many fun activities in a safe environment for the little kids.
