Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of the Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;

This week is a celebration for our school. I see our concerts and performances in all areas of our school life as grand showcases of our school community. Sure, the shows, performances, or displays are fantastic. More importantly, we teach the children to work together for an end goal. They feel proud of the hard work their project takes with the discipline, perseverance, and drive to be successful.  This is their moment of glory as they shine for you and want to make you proud while feeling proud of their accomplishments.

The K-8 students will showcase their spring concert this week, and our preschoolers will perform for their special guests on Friday. We will hold our annual living Rosary, displaying our pride in our Catholic faith as we participate in creating the beautiful Rosary prayer of our faith. Our field day is coming up, where we will look for athletic ability and student-to-student connections in our family group activities. Our 8th graders have their capstone retreat leading to graduation. Each event brings out the best in our school. We hope you can enjoy them all and particpate with us as appropriate.

Kim Doyle, Principal

Calendar for next year
Please try to avoid too much time away from school for your children.

Family vacations are amazing, and everyone deserves to relax and refresh.  Please look very closely at the calendar for the next school year as you are planning.  Time away from school is not necessarily relaxing for many children, parents, or teachers.

We encourage you to have your children in school as much as possible. We have less than 1/2 the days in a full year to work with your kids. Please schedule as many breaks as possible during the planned school breaks so the children are in school when school is in session. We also understand that many times, dates cannot be adjusted due to your personal work schedule.

Also, mark all of our event dates now so that you can participate fully in the life of the school.
