Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of the Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;

We are so thankful to each of you for being a part of our school. We need everyone. Our school operates as a small parochial school associated with a parish. We are Catholic in our mission which directs us to a very specific line of teaching. We teach Catholic morals, traditions, and practices. This make me very proud as a Catholic leader to be at the helm of instructing our Catholic faith to our littlest of learners.

St. Wenceslaus Catholic School has 80% of our students baptized into the Catholic faith and 20% who are baptized into other strong and active Christian faith practices from our local community. This fact makes me very happy as we acknowledge strong families who seek a faith based environment and a love for God for their children.

“Souls on Fire for God” – that is who we are!

Principal

Our 7th and 8th graders are preparing a school musical for the evenings on March 9 and 10.  This show is great for all ages.

For the Love of Family

This week’s challenge:

Give family members each a card with Philippians 4:8 printed on it. Ask them to think about the activity they do most—listen to music, watch TV, play video games, cook. Ask each person to place the card on the object or in the area where he or she does the activity. During the week, challenge family members to think about the positive side of their favorite activity and try to find one thing related to that activity that fits the verse and honors God, such as cooking food for family members, keeping in touch with friends, or choosing TV shows that have a positive message. Have them write what honors God on the card and keep it visible as a reminder to choose things in our lives that honor God.

Pot-o-Gold raffle for $20,000 prize.
Each family was given one $100 ticket
Drawing on June 9.
We have 650 to sell in total. We need people to try selling more to meet our goal.
Call or stop in at the school office.

Virtus Account Set-up
To volunteer in school, each person must complete the Virtus Child Safety Program.
