From the School Advisory Council
We know that families are busy and sometimes it helps to have new ideas to incorporate more of the faith into your family life.

For the Love of Family
This week’s challenge:
Talk with your kids about how the day after Halloween is a Holy Day in the Church- All Saints Day- and talk about the saints that share their name or are the patron saints of something they are interested in. Some fun ones include- St. Francis of Assisi (patron saint of animals), St. Catherine of Bologna (patron saint of artists), St. Sebastian (patron saint of athletes), St. Luke (patron saint of doctors), St. Isidore (patron saint of farmers), St. Florian (patron saint of firefighters), St. Anthony of Padua (patron saint of lost things), St. Cecilia (patron saint of musicians), St. John Baptist de la Salle (patron saint of teachers),

Here is how fundraising works for the year at SWS

Require events for parents to help contribute to goal:
1. Marathon – $150 per child
2. Sweepstakes Raffle – $300 per family
3. Fish Fry – Sell or buy 10 tickets

Optional event participation
1. Handmade Market
2. Starry Night Gala (except for a donation for the class basket and other auction items)
