Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of the Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;

To all our volunteers and donors, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your selfless contributions. Your support has been instrumental in the growth and success of our school, and we are truly grateful for your generosity.

The work of the School Advisory Council, School Parent Association, the Starry Night Committee, the School Endowment Alumni Board, the Fish Fry Committee, and the Golf Committee are so appreciated for all of their planning and executing activities for the school.

We have many volunteers who help in the school kitchen, helpers in the classroom, retired teachers who teach for free, people who take on various tasks such as the can collection wagon, people who jump in for special activities and projects, and those who attend field trips. We have those who deliver cupcakes or staff treats and those who come into stuff and stamp envelopes for our mailings.

We have other groups, such as the Knights of Columbus, the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association (FCSLA Life), the American Legion, and the New Prague Education Foundation, who sponsor and support our projects. St. Wenceslaus is very lucky to have CSCOE (Catholic School Center of Excellence), which provides many grants and financially supports special projects as well as provides teachers with professional development.

Then, there are all of those who are financial supporters. They give to every fundraiser, donate to special projects or the endowment funds, and attend our events to support our school. We are incredibly fortunate and deeply grateful for their generous financial support, which is greatly needed and appreciated.

Thank you to everyone from the tiniest act to the largest contribution. St. Wenceslaus Catholic School is lucky to have all.

Kim Doyle, Principal

Psalm 86:11
Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart so that I may honor you.

Field Day – Tuesday – K-8 no uniforms
Wear Family group colors. – It is ok to go crazy with the colors but no hair or body dye.  If your child doesn’t know their colors, check with their teacher or try to remember the colors they wore when we went rollerskating last January.

We will have a series of challenges on our playground for the family groups. This will take place on Tuesday from 12:30-1:30.  Parents are welcome to come, watch, and hang out if you want. It is always very much fun for everyone.

Move up Day
K-8 students will get a brief visit to the next-level classroom on Thursday.  We will tell them about the exciting things that take place, do a brief project, or simply visit.
