Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update
From the Office of Principal:
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;
One word…… Marathon….!
We had our kick-off assembly and handed out instructions and marathon t-shirt. The kids were very excited. This event is always so amazing each day at school as the students in all grades anticipate being called to the office for a prize and competitions begin with fun.
It is also critical to our school funding and we count on it to be successful! Please join in the fun and spread the word to your friends and relatives. It is a great way for people to support the school.

New at School
New Security System
During the summer months, we installed a new camera security system within our school and around our parish campus. We now have cameras monitoring the entire outside of our school, church, playground, parking lots, all entrance doors, and rectory. We also have cameras located within the school and church buildings. Camera are on 24/7 and keep recordings of all activities that take place in the hallways and especially at each entrance. We hope this will keep all of us safer and keep bad people away. We have one more addition still to install at the preschool doors where we are adding a buzz-in feature for preschool staff to use to allow parents into the building at pick up and drop off times via video camera and speaker.
New Shades
108 new shades were installed into the school. They are wonderful and are keeping the sunshine controlled within the classrooms. They will also make our classrooms look so much nicer from both inside the building and from the outside too. We still have 5 more windows to complete to make our entire school new with our window coverings. Thank you to our Starry Night Gala donations from Fund-a-Need.
New Clevertouch boards
Funded totally by our Starry Night Gala donations, we are so excited to have 11 new Clevertouch boards in our classrooms. Basically, they are like giant computer screens that teacher use to instruct the children. All teachers went through a full day of training to use their new board. We are so appreciative that our school community supports our ambitions and strong drive to make our school so advanced in the use of technology thus enabling the studetns to grow using the best instruction tools.
—–(A huge shout out to Joan May, our technologist, who works hard all year long and worked all summer making our school a top-notch place for education that is filled with the finest devices and premier programing that is availalbe. We are so lucky to have her.)

1. Park your car in the 2nd tier lot away from the school. Walk your child to the crossing guard to cross at the cross walk and enter at the Parish Activity Center Doors.
2. Drive-by drop off. All cars need to enter the drop off line from the south. Please pull as far up in the drop off area as possible. Have all kids jump out of the car on the school side of car only. Exit in a line heading north towards the hospital.

Pick up at the end of the day is the same routine. Either park and have your child cross over the crosswalk to meet you or do the drive by pick up.
