Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update
From the office of principal:
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS,
This week we hold our annual Marathon for Non-Public Education. This event has been going on for approximately 40 years and has raised millions of dollars for all of the schools in the State that do not receive government funding. Having non-public schools gives parents choice. This choice leads to higher quality for everyone. Our school marathon is not only critical but also school spirit building and fun!
We are working to obtain a goal of $45,000. As of today, Monday, we are up to $26,433. Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far and to all those who are sending out invitations to others to make a worthy donation to a great charity cause.
This week I ask you to give it a big push to the end so we can meet our goal. Copy and paste this link to your friends. Or you can clink on it below to forward it so others can donate. Thank you so very much for supporting our beautiful Catholic school.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Dozinky Parade.
We really were an impressive site coming down the street in our red t-shirts. Many many positive comments are coming in about our good showing. Those who joined in the float showed that our school is a positive part of the New Prague community. We have an amazing school family and so many bystanders told us how proud they were to see us. Thanks for walking with us or having your children walk with us. Also thank to everyone for the donations of candy. Thanks to Roger Smisek for playing the concertina on our float helping us be more “Czech Pride”. A special thanks to Fr. Eugene as well for being a part of our parade unit.
October 16 is a special staff in-service day and we will NOT have school for preschool to grade 8 and there will be no Club House and no Preschool Extended Care.
Our staff will be going to the Minneapolis Convention Center for a conference with all other Catholic school teachers in our Archdiocese. That is about 5000 teachers who teach 21,000 students making our Archdiocese the biggest district in the State with 79 different campus sites. It will be an amazing day for our staff.
