Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS,

The Holidays are now here. Thanksgiving opens the Holiday season for me and I typically celebrate the season until the Feast of the Ephipany (Three Kings) on January 6. I am looking forward to taking my mind off of Covid and moving on to celebrating the Advent season, Christmas, and New Years. Although I will miss shopping and the hustle/bustle of lots of people in the malls, going to all of the church services, and getting together with family, staff, and friends in social gatherings, I hope to find the Christmas peace in Christ that has always been meant to brighten all of our hearts. Putting lights on a tree in front of my home this weekend brought me great joy. Seeing the manger brought down from the school attic had a claming affect on my heart. I am noticing so many little things that are simplfying my life and finding these to be joyful more than in years past. I, like many, am seeking each and every opportunity to find the holiday joy.  I hope each of you can celebrate the holidays this year with simple peace.

PS: Baby Jesus is missing!  Last year when our manger was set out, we noticed that someone took our Baby Jesus.   My hope is that a little child has taken care of Jesus all year long. If you find him in your home, please send Jesus back to school. I will greet this with a smile as it is such a classic situtation – one that you might find in a Christmas movie! We will put Jesus back in our manger.
