Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS,

Teachers are awesome! SWS teachers are beyond awesome. This is teacher appreciation week! Now more than ever, our teachers have been called to step up to the front lines – these are the front lines of education. Our teachers are now front and center in our distance learning formats, zoom meetings and prerecorded lessons. They come to you each and every day in your kitchens, livingrooms, and chidren’s study areas.  Everyone sees them teach. Everyone can follow them by linking in. They are out there doing what they know best and loving your kids just like they do when school is in session. They are the SWS heros!

Distance Learning Site

Be sure to log in often to our distance learning site!  This site has many amazing lessons.

Check out the art tab, the music tab, technology tab, or to see a variety of videos.

This is open for all preschool through 8th grade families! Check out all of our teachers to see our full faculty.

May is the Month of Mary, the Blessed Virgin and Mother of Jesus
We love our Mary garden, located in the space between the school and the church. This is a great place to pray. Our teachers and students use this space quite often.

Come visit the Mary Garden on Tuesday, May 12.
11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Ms. McNamara will have flowers waiting in the garden to plant. Just plant one flower per child by one popcicle stick that is in the garden. By the end of the day, it should be beautiful!

Also – bring your own flower to any of our three churches during the day on Sunday, Mother’s Day. Say a prayer with your family. Flowers can be homemade from paper or living.

An Invitation From the Green Team – 2020

We have many beautiful rain gardens, perennial gardens, annual gardens, and planters that beautify our buildings and accent the parking lots. Help is needed from students, adults, and families to keep our plantings healthy and looking good all summer.

Please consider adopting a garden for the summer or select a week or more to help weed and water: 1.the gardens around the school 2.the Mary Garden or 3.the walkway gardens west of the PAC.

Use this Sign up Genius link to volunteer.

Contact Kathy McNamara  at 952-200-4949 for more information.
