School News – June 2019 Wrap up
Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Weekly Office Update
From the Office of Principal
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS,
We hope that all of you are having a great summer thus far. Time goes by quickly during the summer months and I am sure that all of you look forward to this change of pace from the routine of the school year.
Our staff also has a change of pace. Although not in the SWS building, we see teachers attending workshops and conferences in order to acquire new skills or refresh their commitment to education, to our school, and most importantly to our students who will come back to us in August.
The end of June officially ends our school fiscal year. Below will give you a few tidbits as we wrap things up!
Golf Tournament Success
Thanks to everyone who participated in the school golf tournament last week. To all of the people on the planning committee, you did a great job and we are thankful. We are so appreciative of everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, or supported this event in any way. We had more golfers and more sponsors than in the past. (Numbers are still being calculated but we are sure we made our goal.)

We say good-bye to the following staff members
Each year we have movement within our school as staff members move in and out of positions. We thank the following staff members and wish them all the best in the future!
Dawn Biren in now the new principal at St. John’s in Vermillion. We wish Mrs. Biren much luck and success in her new challenge.
Jennifer Rosen is retiring from full time teaching after 41 years, 21 of those being a teacher at SWS. Mrs. Rosen looks forward to spending more time with her family. Mrs. Rosen was a treasure to our school and hope she enjoys the next chapter of her life.

He has worked very hard in his life with endless hours of time serving people in their happy moments and in their sad situations. He has done an amazing job with our parish and with our school in his years with us. He deserves a wonderful retirement and change of pace. We will miss him at SWS!
Something fun to do this summer!
She definitely is a beauty and she is also our kindergarten teacher! Come and see Ms. Lisa Schneider play the part of Belle in Generations Theater, Beauty and The Beast. Mrs. Katherine Gorr is the musical director and Mrs. Gallagher will be on the keyboard.
