Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of the Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;

The Lenten season is always a very special time in a Catholic school. Having the students with us daily gives the school the opportunity to share teachings, traditions, and experiences.  Our students will have the opportunity to participate in the Stations of the Cross in several formats. We will experience traditional formal stations, less formal stations with pictures and tours of the wonderful stations that adorn the walls of our church, and living stations performed by our 8th-grade students.  Our students will attend adoration on Friday after going to an extra Mass. They will collect personal items for the Peace Center food shelf. Students will read a prayer over the PA system each day. They will study what the life of Christ looked like, what the Crucifixion means, and how our Lenten journey brings us closer to Christ.

We take great pride in knowing that our students are learning about Jesus and growing steps closer to knowing that Christ brings us to the Resurrection.

Spirit of St. Wenceslaus Award

Please join us in celebrating the inaugural winner of the Spirit of St. Wenceslaus award – Ron McBroom- at our annual Starry Night Gala.

Ron has been active in the parish since 1971 and in the St. Wenceslaus School community since 1975. He is a long-time supporter of the school and has been a champion of the annual Marathon for non-public education, raising more than $10,000 each year. In addition to financial support, Ron outwardly demonstrates the values of the Catholic faith to the community and is a true role model for our students.

If you would like to make a contribution to the Spirit of St. Wenceslaus award fund in Ron’s honor, you will be able to do that at the Gala or can send a check to the school with “Spirit of St. Wenceslaus award” noted on the check.

You can register for this event by going to our event website:
