Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Weekly Office Update
Advent - Week 2
We are beginning our second week of Advent. This is such a busy time in our lives that at school we are trying to slow down and focus on the real meaning of Advent. All classrooms have an Advent wreath in their classroom. The whole school focuses on the wreath as we pray together each morning. Our classroom doors are also decorated with a Jesse tree the students created out of paper using their STEM skills.
Immaculate Conception, where we celebrate that Mary was conceived without original sin in preparation for being the mother of Jesus is a feast day for school and we will be attending mass.
Some classes participated in the Adopt a Family program this year. In class, we talk about the things the families put on their lists and how that may be all they receive for Christmas. We talk about the importance of helping those less fortunate when we are able. Thank you to all who helped someone less fortunate this holiday season.
The Parent Association is excited to offer you our Christmas Angel Program option for staff members at SWS again. The Parent Association will fill out cards for each staff member and money collected for each staff member will be presented to him/her in cash the week of December 16. Your family name (not amount given) will be included on the staff member(s) card you give to. Christmas Angel sheets were sent home the week of Dec. 2. Please return to school by Dec 12.
