Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update
From the Office of Principal:
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;
Have you ever felt like no matter how many people that you had near you, the only one who would comfort and understand you would be your mother? We are so lucky to have this comfort in our Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus and mother to us all.
The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. This is primarily due to the fact that the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated annually on October 7. It was instituted to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in gratitude for the protection that she gives the Church in answer to the praying of the Rosary by the faithful.
Here at SWS, we teach the children to look to Mary for her example of faith and love as the mother of Jesus and to be our mother too, calling on her to guide us as our earthly mothers would. The Rosary offers a simple way to meditate on the life of Jesus as we pray. The school children, both Catholic 80% and non-Catholic 20%, enjoy this time when we recite the Rosary together or when they get a chance to meditate alone. The Blessed Virgin Mary is present with each in our prayers and meditations.
