Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;

This is a great week. We are so excited to bring our Handmade Market vendors back to our school for our annual Craft show event.

Our School Parent Association works very hard to put this event together each year with profits used for activites of the group that enhance the life of the kids, teachers, and school.

It is important that we have a large shopping crowd, so spread the word. If you are worried about too many people being there with Covid, I suggest you plan to attend at 11:00,12:00, or 1:00 instead of arriving at 9:00 am.  But if you like the rush of the shopping anticipation, then the doors open at 9:00!

Masks are encouraged but not required. We ask all participants to be healthy when attending.

Girls Basketball Players Wanted

We need at least 4 more girls to participate before we can commit to a full team! Grades 5-8 girls – let’s play basketball.

Halloween
Each class will be doing a Halloween activity in the classroom this year instead of a school-wide activity (due to the gym being used to set up for the Handmade Market). Some classrooms will allow a costume time on Friday, October 29. Check your child’s teacher page for more information.

Heavens House Carnival
October 31 from 11:30 – 1:30 in the Gym
This is a fun party with games, candy, and face painting.
Presented to you by our parish youth.

Not your typical scary party but a saintly one.
Open to all children.A canned good donation is encouraged.

All Saints Day/All Souls Day

We will hold our weekly Mass on Monday, November 1 instead of on Wednesday. This is All Saints Day and we celebrate this day in our Catholic Faith.

Tuesday, November 2 we recognize as All Souls Day. Most our our classes will be walking over to the St. Wenceslaus cemetary to pray for those who have passed. If your child has a Rosary to keep in their desk, please send this to school this week.

Mark the date – all families in PreKindergarten.
Our staff will be making a delivery to your house on November 16 – between 5:00-6:00 PM.

This is for families with prekindergarten kids in the M/W/F or the M-F  sessions only!

Look forward to: A Pizza, A Packet, and A Prize!
