Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update
From the Office of Principal:
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;
There are always so many things going on inside of our school each week. The kids and teachers are very busy with all of our curriculum and projects that help them grow into confident learners and leaders. You might not see it with your own kids yet, but little by little these important skills are developing.
Last week we had our conferences. You might have heard how your child could improve, work harder, or change in some way. What you heard from teachers is their passion in trying to guide your child along. There are so many areas where we want the kids to grow. We aim to develop the mind, body, spirit, and soul of each SWS student in preschool and beyond. We know that wholistic (whole person) education is worth it and that is exactly what Catholic education is and what our SWS school sets goals to do.
Thank you for partnering with us in the formation of our students and your children.
Kim Doyle, Principal

Covid Alert
Please continue to closely monitor your family for symptoms of COVID. We are still seeing illness.
The SWS families have been awesome in keeping kids home when ill. Please do not let up and notify us right away so that we can track.
This has been our best mitigation yet! – Closely monitor, track, and isolate the situation so that it does not spread to others.

Fleece cutting update
We have a great start to our fleece cutting for blankets for the homeless!
Katielynn Lusignan will be at school this week at 2:30 at the pickup doors on Tuesday and 9am Thursday at drop-off doors for the late start for any parent wanting to pick up blankets that are already cut to size to cut the ties at home.
Each blanket takes 20-30 min to cut ties so any help in the final weeks to meet our thanksgiving deadline is appreciated! We have about 60 more blankets that need ties cut.
Contact Katielynn to set up another time if you are able to help! 763-236-4518

Dr. Jules Nolan Parenting Session for November
Technology, Social Media, Screen Time, and Parenting
November 22, 7pm
The use of social media and technology is one of the most popular areas of concern for parents of children and adolescents. How much is too much? How do we keep our kids safe online? What about the constant social comparisons? This session will focus on the latest research on the use of social media and technology. It will also help us understand the relationship between brain development and what drives the need to feel connected online as well as those areas of big concern like pornography and algorithms that target adolescent vulnerabilities. Parenting tips will be offered.
