Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Weekly Office Update
From the Office of Principal
Thanks for attending our parent/teacher conferences last week. It was so nice to see so many of you leaving the school with happy faces as you visited with the teachers about your child’s progress. Students go through many phases as they learn and grow. This is more evident in today’s society than in past years. We are challenged as parents and as teachers to work together to give each child the exact instruction that they need at the exact moment that they need it. It is critical that all adults work together, listen to each other, and each
I am so proud of our school community. Our teachers work so hard to design meaningful lessons and help our students know God through prayer and practice. Our students are responsive, positive, willing to learn, and seem to truly enjoy their time in school. Parents are supportive and helpful in so many areas. We have wonderful support from our donors, alumni, and parishioners as well as others in the community. We are truly blessed.
Veterans Day will be celebrated on Tuesday
We are so thankful for all who are serving and have served our country in the United States Armed Forces. We will have a very short prayer service to recognize this special day. All are invited, especially and parents, grandparents, or other friends of SWS who are veterans. 9:30 – 9:40 in the church and then out to the flagpole. Dress accordingly.
Food Drive
On November 14, our school will be celebrating Thanksgiving at mass. It has been a tradition for our students to bring non-perishable food and personal care items to share with those in our community who are less fortunate. Please consider some of the following items for which there is currently a greater need at the Peace Center.
Condiments (mayo, dressings, seasonings)
Juices (apple, orange, tomato, etc.)
Soup (all varieties)
Breakfast foods (cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars)
Personal care items (soap, shampoo, deodorant)
Please send donations to school November 12, 13 or 14 so that the students may present these items before the altar at Mass. Thank you for your generosity.

An Irish Starry Night – Saturday, March 16
Join the committee to help plan this fun event for our community.
Please think about planning a party to be put on our group events sign up tables such as a hayride, drinks for a class of parents at your home, a camping event, a bonfire, or a wine tasting night. People sign up at the Starry Night and come to the party at a later date. These events can be adult focused or kid-focused.
We are also looking for larger donations that would be great “Live Auction Items” such as great game tickets, theatre tickets, vacation homes, trips, sporting or fishing packages, and ladies nights out.
