Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;

Giving it all to God.  A person who holds the role of school principal is used to taking charge, being in control, and giving lots of directions to others. That is the nature of the job. In the past few months, I have been on a quest to seek God in greater ways in my life. I have been faced with difficulties over the years which put me on my knees praying for God’s guidance. I have recently decided that my own control over things is overwhelming and draining me of my energy. I have finally decided to let go and let God take over.

I have to admit that letting God work in my life is freeing and alleviates so much stress! My tasks are to stay true and faithful to God, to be a decent person that is kind to others, and to continue to pray in thanksgiving for the grace and blessings given to me while also putting trust in God for my requests. Then, I try to trust that God is at work and I am leaving it up to Him to lay the next steps out clearly for me to follow. It has been amazing. The freedom is totally worth trusting God.

I recommend seeking God, then letting go so God can work in your life.

Souls on Fire for God here at SWS.

From the School Advisory Council
We know that families are busy and sometimes it helps to have new ideas to incorporate more of the faith into your family life.

For the Love of Family
This week’s challenge:
As the weather changes, take a moment to discuss with your children. Take note of the fall harvest and the bounty that God shares with us as well as the beautiful sunrise and sunset. Use the change of the season to inspire your family to increase your faith practices. More time inside might mean more time for family, faith and prayer. Create a new habit to take you through the winter months such as an added daily prayer or an added weekly mass together.
