Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;

Things are hopping around SWS this summer. It is so nice to be in operation with “back to normal” standards. It almost feels odd to have a visitor and I reach for my mask and it no longer drapes my neck waiting to be pulled up again so I can speak to the person in front of me. I have faith that this is how we will open in fall – normal with a few tweaks of the good things we learned along the way in 20-21!

We have our preschool open for the first time running a summer preschool program. It is full and our staff is providing an amazing program for these little kids.  Our Club House is also moving full blast with so many fun adventures and fun times for the students who attend. Our maintenance staff is working full speed ahead getting everything all shiny again. Mrs. Hartman and Mrs. May are working behind the scenes to get all details for a new year set and to make sure our technology is in the best condition for a great school year. Ms. McNamara (retired teacher) has also been sneeking into the STEM lab to replenish supplies. Need-less-to-say, our place is active and busy this summer.

Reading below, you will see that we are getting ready for fall 2021. There are a few items of interest for all, including the new staff members who will join us. For incoming families, there are some links to follow!

Summer is a time to take a break from school, but I also want to keep you in the loop!

Take care and enjoy the sun!
Kim Doyle, Principal

After working in the business world, she took time to have children and build a family. With two out of high school, this is Emily’s time to follow her passion. She returned to school to obtian her degree in elementary education and has taught first grade for the past two years in another Catholic school. We are happy to have Emily at our school for our upcoming 1st grade students.

We are so pleased to have two full 5th grade classrooms this year.  Emilia will be a welcome addition to our school. Emilia recently graduated from St. Mary’s University in Winona with her degree in elementary education. Her high GPA  and passionate involvement earned her a distinguished spot with the Schulze Family Foundation Scholars.
