Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;

I am very excited to share the list of our staff members for the upcoming school year. Our staff is having a much deserved break and they have generally been relaxing during this first half of the summer. Soon the school will become a flury of activity as we get ready for the upcoming school year.

We have 7 new staff members this year. We were able to add due to increased enrollment, changes from teachers who retired, additional funding from grants coming our way with Covid, and lots of prayers of support for our school.

We have switched a few classrooms around and we added curriculum, supplies, technology tools, and we have some other surprises in the works.

God is so good to our school. Keep those prayers coming our way.  I look forward to rekindling our SWS Family with renewed gatherings and activities for 21-22.

Kim Doyle, Principal

SWS Character Vote

Each family member can vote on their favorite character.
We want to have a fun friendly character join us as a theme this year. The character will not replace our “St. Wenceslaus Saints” name but will be added to some of our activities throughout the year.
One vote per family member. Everyone’s opinion matters!

Covid Update

We are waiting on full directives from our guiding forces as it concerns the Covid protocols. Today, the plan is to open as normal as possible but that could change in the month ahead. We are planning to layer our mitigation so that we can protect our children who are not vaccinated. (If you have a student who is 12 and older, now is a good time to get their vaccination if you choose to do this)

We hope to be unmasked and as the CDC suggests we have many other strategies that will help us layer our approach such as cleaning, santitation, window ventilation, clustering, disposable dishes, limiting adults in the building, and more. This will unfold in the weeks ahead as recommendations come our way. Please note that the plan is to be normal but if we get an executve order requiring any particular standards, then we will comply with that order.

No need to worry about anything yet. We will keep you totally informed about plans as we move closer to the opening of the school year.

Let’s all pray for the best. We did learn how to navigate the pandemic virus very well last year so we are confident that we can open appropriately keeping our school community healthy.
