Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update
From the Office of Principal:
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;
Happy New Year and Best Wishes for a Joyous 2022.
Just like all of you are setting New Year’s goals, our school sets goals each year too. Our school maintains accreditation status through the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accreditation Association (MNSAA). We have a 7-year plan with certain goals set for each year. Interested people can find a link to our full plan. There is a link on the bottom (in the blue footer) of our main school web site called “Strategic Plan”. The plan is for our growth in excellence over the 7 year period.
We also have a few goals that we focus more strongly on each year. These are in addition to all of the immediate needs and day-to-day planning that takes place within each classroom and the entire school. Here is a link to the goals for the current school year.
Some of our goals are a continuation of our past goals such as the STEM Infusion Plan in our school. This year, our staff is using all of our late start days work time to meet with each other, discuss, and plan STEM programming so that we can keep this a vital philosophy within our entire school.
The success of our school depends on goal setting, planning, trial/error, and implementation of goals. We are not a success by chance. We work very hard each year to make our school a great school for each child. Cheers to the goals for 2022!

Class basket Items are now due
One item for every child in the class is appreciated. It will be made into a wonderful themed basket for the silent auction. We would like all of these donations now so that we can package them up soon.
Please send items to school this week.

Sweepstakes Tickets
K-8 families – 30 tickets.
Preschool families (with no K-8 kids) – 10 tickets.
Tickets are $10 each.
Drawing takes place on February 2. Please return ticket stubs as soon as they are sold.
Help Wanted: Sellers of the Pot-O-Gold tickets
We need 2-3 parents per class who can help sell these tickets.
If you work in a spot with people who might be willing to take a chance at winning $20,000, please take a book to sell. We have 650 tickets ($100 each) to sell by June.
Please help!
If each family could sell two/three tickets, then we would have most of them sold.

Picture Retake Day
If you missed our picture day this year or have a school picture that had eyes shut, this is the time to get it done.
All students should get a picture even if you do not wish to purchase them. We use them for the yearbook and our school records.
If you are getting a retake, you must bring back the first picture. If you your child is in the 3/4 preschool, you will need to make arrangements to come on January 12 for the picture.
Registration for kindergarten and preschool.
Reserve a spot for fall 2022.
Spread the word to families who might be interested in enrollment. We appreciate our current families helping us make connections.
Tours of our programs are welcome. We will hold a preschool open house on January 18 and a kindergarten preview evening on February 8.
