Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS,

We now turn our attention to enrolling students for next fall 2022, and we need everyone’s help to do this. We have held our open house for preschool, are having our kindergarten preview this week, and we will be asking our current families to commit for the next school year by March 1. We also need everyone to pass the word on to others about enrollment.

The best form of marketing is through YOU!  If you have had or are having a great experience with our school, share it with others. If you are a friend or a supporter of our school, reach out to families who live near you or your adult children with kids letting them know the benefits of a Catholic school.

SWS has something that no other school in town has. That one particular thing is our focus on God as our faith development is weaved throughout our school day. The One Holy One who gives us life, now and into eternity, is with us as we offer praise with prayer, adoration, practice, and study each day within the walls of our Catholic School.

Here we come 2021-22 school year!

Parenting Session with Dr. Jules – Peace of Mind

Parenting with Executive Functioning Skills in Mind: Simple Strategies to Build Skill

Many children procrastinate, lack organization, have emotional outbursts, get “stuck” in their worries, are poor planners, or demonstrate other Executive Functioning difficulties.  If your child frequently struggles in these areas, it might be impacting his/her school or social success.  During this talk, parents will learn about the role of Executive Functioning in child and adolescent development. They will better understand the areas of Executive Functioning and take away simple, concrete parenting strategies to help their children develop lagging skills.  Participants will also gain insight into their own EF skills and how the parent/child interactions can be improved through attention to these areas in ourselves and in others.
