Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update

From the Office of Principal:

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;

Invitations have gone out in the mail for the Starry Night. If for any reason you do not receive one, please go to our website or call the office to request one. We encourage everyone to attend this event and bring friends and family.  It is coming together nicely and will be a great evening of fun.

Our school depends on this event. There are many school parents who are working very hard to make the Starry Night a success. We now need all supporters and school families to join in by bringing other people to our worthy cause – which is the successful funding for our school budget. It has been a great year! Let’s keep it great as we move forward.

Starry Night 2022

What is it?
The Starry Night is a fun adult only casual evening. Yes – it is a fundraiser to benefit the school, but it is so much fun! We have great food, fun drinks, and entertainment too.

Who attends?
School parents, friends of school parents, grandparents, parishioners, supporters, and lots of people from the community. Young people over 21 and beyond! (18 yr olds may attend with parents) Established people who attend annually and those who have never been to an event like this. All are welcome.

Assigned seating with friends or with people you might become friends with helps you feel comfortable. If you don’t know many people, we will seat you by parents who have kids in the same class as your kids.

Peace of Mind Session with Dr. Julene Nolan
February 16 at 7:00PM

Stress, Anxiety, Perfectionism, and Motivation

Stress and Anxiety are more prevalent now in the lives of school-aged children than ever before. How does perfectionism play into our child’s stress and anxiety? How can we teach motivation without feeding perfectionism? This session will address behavioral and biological factors that influence the development of anxiety and perfectionistic tendencies. You will leave with concrete, parenting strategies to combat stress, anxiety, and perfectionism, and learn how to foster self-motivation in our children.
