St. Wenceslaus offers many opportunities for parents, grandparents, and community members to get involved in our wonderful school. Whether you are looking to offer your time and talents on a single interest of yours or are looking to serve our school in a longer-term capacity, we are happy to accommodate you!

Our outstanding parent and community participation commitments is what makes St. Wenceslaus so fabulous. Come help out, meet new people, and become part of the St. Wenceslaus family.

SWS Parent Association

The function of the SWS Parent Association is to promote good will, cooperation, and communication between and among parents, faculty, administration, school board and the parish as they advocate for the children of St. Wenceslaus School. They meet 8-9 times each year with smaller committee meetings in between. The Parent Association plans one major fundraising event a year and also help organize the school marathon.

School Advisory Council

The School Advisory Council serves in an advisory capacity to the pastor and the school principal in the operations and governance of the school. The Council consists of nine members who serve for 3-year terms. The council develops school policy, sets the annual budget, and oversee fundraising events, marketing efforts, and planning for school accreditation.

Fundraising

Volunteers are necessary for the important role in school fundraising. All school parents are required to participate in the following fundraising activities: Marathon, Sweepstakes Raffle, Fish Fry, Starry Night Dinner and Auction, Golf Tournament, Ice Fishing Contest and more.

Classroom Volunteer

Parents are welcome to volunteer in the classroom! Each teacher presents a request based on their needs and the needs of their class of students.

School Committees

There are many committees at school to become involved in. If you have any area of expertise and would like to help out, let us know. We’d love to work with you! Possibile committees include: technology, marketing, alumni, and endowment.

Special Events

We have many events throughout the school year in which parents are asked to help out. We encourage you to join in! This helps you become a stronger member of our school family.
