Saint Wenceslaus Catholic School Office Update
From the Office of Principal:
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Friends of SWS;
The first week of school is finally here. We are so excited to welcome 254 students into our school. We enter the new year with confidence and hope for a great year.
Please continue to pray for our school community. We ask God to keep us flourishing in faith and academics. We are thankful for our enrollment growth which helps us sustain our wonderful programs. Please pray for the health of all of our students, staff, school families, and volunteers.
We have so many plans and ambitions for 2021-22. God has made us great. Let us honor our greatness in all we do.

Saintly Service
This year St. Wenceslaus School staff members are excited to incorporate the example of seven saints into the ways we interact with students, parents, and each other – through Saintly Service: Wisdom for Growing Catholic Community. This is philosophy that our school already embraces, but one that we want to be especially intentional about welcoming and embracing others. We are looking for a great year of building community!
Thanks to the Catholic School Center of Excellence, we’re uniting with other Catholic schools and putting words and faces to our traditions and practices by using the following saints and their charisms as guiding examples in our relationship-building:
St. Benedict – Offer incredible hospitality
St. Teresa of Calcutta – Be assertively friendly
St. Ignatius – Assume positive intent
St. Therese of Lisieux – Pay attention to the little things
St. John XXIII – Foster a culture of joy
St. Joan of Arc – Take action and initiative
St. Francis – Be the change you wish to see

We are excited to be able to offer free lunch again this year to all of our students.

Dozinky Parade
Plan to walk or ride along with our school float in the Dozinky parade on Saturday, September 18 at noon.
We need as many school people as possible from preschool – grade 8 and parents. We want to make a SPLASH in this community with our presence.
Everyone wear a bright red school t-shirt or uniform shirt!
Click here for a t-shirt order form
Donations of large bags of candy are welcome! Bring it to the parade. Every person also needs a bucket for candy distributing.
Most students and parents will walk. Little ones can ride. Strollers are welcome.
We need as many parents as possible.
We need a few great dads to carry our banner. (Red Shirts)
School Mass – Most Wednesday’s at 8:00 AM
We welcome all school parents to join us for our weekly liturgical celebrations. Students will sit with their classmates and teachers. Parents are welcome to take a spot behind the students towards the back of the church.
Please do not sit up front or intermix with the students – even if your child is doing a reading or singing. The classes have assigned spots.
Catholics that have previously received communion in the celebration/sacrament of First Communion can receive Holy Communion during the Mass.
All younger students and anyone non-Catholic is welcome to approach the front at the distribution of Communion and receive a blessing – To do this, place your arms in a cross on your chest. This will indicate to the minister that you will get a blessing.
Mass in September:
Wednesday’s – 8th,15th, 22nd
Tuesday, Sept. 28 – Feast of St. Wenceslaus
SWS Parent Association
We are looking for some more parents to become a part of the School Parent Association. Frist meeting is Sept. 7.
This group works to help make our school a great place by bringing joy to the staff and the students with programs, incentives, and recognitions. The group is also there to help where needed throughout the school year.
We meet monthly. This is a great way to meet new people and to become an involved member of our school community. We would LOVE to have you join us.
