Our staff is energized and ready to make this an amazing year for each and every one of our students. Thank you for joining us as partners in this process.

Please step forward to be involved and get to know the 200 other families who have chosen SWS. I am here to help you in any way that I can so do not hesitate to contact me at any time.

Marathon for Non-Public Education starts this week.

This week we will have our kick-off for the upcoming school marathon. Our school relies on this fundraiser and others throughout the school year to support our budget.

Our school goal is $43,000. We need everyone in the school to participate. Each student in K-8 has a goal of $150 and each preschooler has a goal of $50.

Students will get special envelopes to turn in their marathon money. The money will be counted each Friday and students will win prizes based on the amount that they have turned in at each juncture. All money will be due on Friday, October 5.

Each student will get their marathon t-shirts this week. They can wear these every Friday from now until Christmas.

We will celebrate with the Archbishop and with hundreds of our priests.  This Mass is sponsored by the Catholic School Center of Excellence. We hope you will join us at Giesenbräu Brewery on Friday, September 7 for this social event inviting all adults of our school community to come together for some relaxation and maybe meet a new friend or two. Staff Changes

New School Counselor:
Ms. Kaitlyn Schoenbauer will be at our building 2 days each week. Kait is a graduate of SWS and NPHS. She is currently finishing her master’s degree at the University of St. Mary’s in human development and child life.

Kait is replacing Jessica Alladin who will be working in a full-time counseling position in Farmington. We thank Jessica for her 1.5 years with our school.

Thank you, Mrs. Jane Jeffrey,
We wish Mrs. Jeffrey (2nd-grade teacher) the best of luck as she begins her new teaching position at St. Dominic’s in Northfield. Mrs. Jeffrey was a dedicated teacher at SWS for over 20 years. Her new position will keep her within the community where she lives. She will be teaching 1st grade.

Welcome to Mrs. Kathy Giesen who is our new 2nd-grade teacher. Kathy has been a teacher at Holy Cross Catholic School in Webster for the past 10 years where she recently taught 2nd grade. Home/School Members wanted:
We are looking for a few more parents who can be involved as volunteers (who make a huge difference in our school).

The jobs are easy, you will meet other parents, and it is fun!

The group meets monthly but we are so flexible and open to any help you can give us. Please contact Kim if you are willing to be a part of our Home and School Association. The first meeting is on Tues., Sept. 4. We need about 6-8 parents to join our committee. Join with a friend!
